Note 5

The Saviour's Birth at 8 am

2 Kings 20 and Isaiah 38 tell us of a sign in the sun in the days of Hezekiah when the shadow of the sun was caused by God to return 'ten steps' (hours). The effect was to make time reckoned by the moon ten hours ahead of that reckoned by the sun, so that each 24-hour period ended at 8 am rather than 6 pm. All sacred time is lunar, and the Lord's 'day' started at 8 am — the number so amazingly linked with Himself.

This note is referred to in Chapter 12 and Chapter 16.
